A6 – NOVALIS: Science and Faith in the Catholic classroom

Presenter: Ted Laxton
Audience: Gr. 7-12

Description:This workshop sets the preliminary groundwork for teachers who wish to engage students in a meaningful dialogue between science and religion (such as interactions between science and religion, models of Divine action and general empirical method). The contexts for dialogue are: the laws of nature, quantum theories, cosmology and evolution. The workshop also considers responses to student questions as well as quotes from scientists and philosophers as related to issues of faith.
