This resource provides educators with an authentic context to digital video production that provides a discourse for students to live their faith and Catholic advocacy through: Documentary Film, Short Narrative and Music Video production all centered around specific Gospel values.
The Catholic Filmmaker is a production and assessment tool kit for novice teachers and students from Grade 9 – 12; adaptable to and not restricted by specific software and digital equipment at respective schools and districts across the province. Rather, it is a fully accessible resource that promotes active digital citizenship and innovation as aligned with the new Religious Education Policy documents, Catholic Graduate Expectations, media literacy and the application of 21st century skills. With direct connections to media literacy and 21st Century Skills curriculum, the Catholic Filmmaker, features video tutorials, worksheets, assignment overviews, rubrics etc. |
