This resource provides teachers with practical implementation strategies to connect the assessment principles of Growing Success with the Elementary Religious Education Curriculum (2012). It guides teachers in the process of gathering information from a variety of sources that accurately reflects how well a student is achieving the Religious Education Curriculum Expectations in order to improve student learning, and according to the curriculum standards outlined in the Achievement Chart (assessment ‘for’, ‘as,’ and of learning). It supports teachers in using learning goals and success criteria to provide students with descriptive feedback in order to help all students develop their capacity to be independent, autonomous learners who are able to set individual goals, monitor their own progress, determine next steps, and reflect on their thinking and learning in Religious Education. It aids teachers in evaluating students’ achievement for reporting purposes. |
